Holocaust Survivors together with intergenerational participants were brought together to create 18 works of art that spoke to the triumph of the human spirit. The Survivors shared life lessons and stories, as well as their determination to survive and rebuild- all of which are incorporated into artwork.

WHY?

We created this educational piece in order to keep the promise which we made to the Survivors who participated in this process- the promise of  'Never Forget'. We decided to be proactive and say- 'RIA' which stands for- 'Remember In Action'.

This is our way of being proactive and using these canvasses which contain so many firsthand true testimonials in order to teach, inspire, motivate, remember and sensitize others, so that perhaps we can prevent other calamities such as this from happening again.

The artwork is used to promote dialogue about:

-Holocaust awareness-

-Remembrance and honouring the past-

-The importance of intergenerational exchanges-

-Resilience of the human spirit-

-Human rights and lessons learned-

-Professional development-

-Motivational sessions on how to work through and overcome challenges-

-Conflict resolution-
